Delta Gamma
Eta Delta
University of North Florida
Organization Facts
Delta Gamma was founded in 1873 in Oxford, Mississippi by three young women who were unable to go home during a Christmas holiday. Together they formed a club built on a foundation of fostering high ideals of friendship, promoting educational and cultural interests, a true sense of social responsibility and developing the best qualities of character that now has more than 230,000 initiated members. Today, Delta Gamma’s membership continues to grow with 152 collegiate chapters and more than 250 alumnae groups across the United States and Canada. Service for Sight, Delta Gamma Fraternity’s Philanthropy, has been at the heart of the Delta Gamma mission since 1936.

Chapter Facts
The Eta Delta Chapter of Delta Gamma was founded at the University of North Florida in 1999. Since that time Eta Delta has created strong roots within the UNF and Jacksonville community. Our members are involved in multiple organizations on campus including Student Government, Swoop Squad, Order of Omega and many others. Eta Delta also works frequently with the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, volunteering and hosting events such as the annual Valentine's Day party. Our chapter prides itself in capturing the true essence of what it means to be a Delta Gamma. By fostering high ideals of friendship, promoting educational and cultural interests, creating a true sense of social responsibility and establishing the finest qualities of character, Delta Gamma has enriched the lives of its members and instilled in them a respect for the enduring values gained from the fraternity.

Hi my name is Livi Kingsland and I am a senior studying Business Management and minoring in Political Science and Economics. After graduation I plan to further my knowledge and get my MBA and eventually my Doctorate. I aspire to manage at a Fortune 500 company and someday hold a CEO position. Making the decision to participate in recruitment was by far one of the most rewarding decisions I have made. Allowing myself to trust the process and go in with an authentic mindset placed me right where I was meant to be in Delta Gamma. Delta Gamma has given me endless leadership opportunities, a support system, and friendships that will last a lifetime. My sisters keep me anchored to my values, and push me to be the best version of myself. Please make the best decision of your life and Go Greek!
